One of Japan’s most elegant and treasured teas. Picked only once a year because of the stress to the mother plant created by the shading process it is highly prized in Japan. Rarely found in the USA simply because Japan can not produce enough to meet domestic demands. As a result of our travels and good relationships we are lucky enough to be able to either bring back or import this wonderful tea from both important tea growing regions, Shizuoka and Uji. Try both as your palate guides you and notice the nuances and differences between the areas. This tea will also cold-infuse for an incredible “iced” tea. Although we do not recommend serving it over ice chilled is delightful and refreshing.
